We are doing this revision to review what we learned in this whole year. It help us to figure out if there still some knowledge we don’t understand, or have some wrong understanding. We have spread into four group, data handling, pattern and relationships, modeling relationships with function and also the exponential&logarithmic function. I’m in the exponential group. The members of our group have me, Johnson, Angela, Andy and Sab.
In this review, each of our groups needs to include four review aspects in our own section. These are desmos, quizlets, mind maps, and exercise questions. I am here mainly responsible for the main responsibility of the practice questions of the explanation, and for everyone to find after-school exercises.
For others members, Angela will make our presentation ppt. Angela and Andy will take the mind map part, they will spread all the knowledge into different parts of this mind map. This will help us a lot when we are presenting. At last, Johnson will do desmos for us.
I want to use this artifact to defense collaboration and critical thinking.
This time, year revision let me all the previously unclear knowledge have been consolidated again, before I chose in the function of this group is actually to my previously did not learn about this function knowledge again in the study.
My previous goal for this project was to consolidate the formula in the exponential function, which includes the two parts of growth and decay. I made a plan for relearning before the project began, with notes and learning videos and exercise questions.
After this project, I went back to reflect on the good places I did in this project and the good things I did and the good enough i’m not doing enough. I have no problem with setting goals and setting plans, but this time my problem in the project is time management. I made a general estimate of the learning time of the two parts of my re-learning and searching for the topic, only to find that there was a difference between the time I actually needed and the time I had estimated. This place is something I need to improve on, and I need to count the time I’m distracted from doing things. I also need to do some more practice after the exercise of the exponential function.
Just now the reflection is for me personally, for our team, after we finished talking also have a lot of students give us the presentation feedback. Some of the feedback I think more important is the order of our sput, we actually next time like this presentation, we can let everyone choose to talk about that part first. After all, everyone’s learned it before, and this time we just need to go back and do it again.
There is also a feedback about our after-school exercises, we later look for topics, we can mark all the difficulty of the topic. And do not have to look for a bunch of very difficult questions, such a connection can not actually play a good role in review.

In this unite, me and my teammates(Henry Xia and Roy Gao),we are trying to solve the collaboration problem in our IP teams. The reason we want to solve it is simple, it interrupt our team collaboration too much. If we still put it there, our team efficiency will keep lower and lower.
For the start, we find an archetype that fit our project situation. Then we make our own archetype to help us better understand the reason we has this problem. After that, the three of us divided the work. My part is to complete the construction of the project’s archetype, and interview one of the member in IP team to make a mental model for the member. Finally, we also need everyone to find a leverage action that exists in this system and make corresponding solutions.At the end, each of us wrote a brief feedback on this project.
During this project, Henry, Roy and Jonathan also my teammates in IP course they give me help by doing this. After we finish this project, our IP teams beginning to use it, and the results were that it really worked. For all three solutions , they are now all being used, only two of them. First one is, communicate in group chats to ensure direct communication. Second one is, Everyone has a work goal, and the work goal starts from the overall goal of the project.

Look back this whole unite/project, I learn a lot, it can be summarized in two point. One is the knowledge we has learned on system thinking class. Other one is team collaboration skills, like how to manage a whole team, although we only have three people, but it doesn’t matter.
For the first, I want to talk about the knowledge we practice and learned in this project. In this project, I used almost all the knowledge I learned in the system thinking class, such as leverage action and seven archetype I learned during the project. In our project, there are a variety of requirements for the big picture, and our project contains mental models for team members. The main skill I used in this project was the leverage action, because leverage action helped us to produce the final solution for this project.
We still have a lot of place that need to improve, and the use of archetype is not exactly reach our expected efficiency, because our group spends too much time on archetype production. Spending a lot of time here means we don’t have much time to spend on mental models and interviews.
I think it’s actually important to know that we’re a little limited in thinking about a problem. I think our team can expand our interview to see what people who don’t think about this “system” think. This allows us to collect some other perspectives and suggestions on the system/problem. I think these are things we can try to do in the next project.
At present, the number of Chinese social population has begun to show a negative growth trend. If this trend continues to increase, Chinese society will face severe population shrinkage and an aging society; there will be adverse phenomena such as population faults. Such a shrinking population and aging population will further affect the economic growth of the country and cause economic regression and other consequences.
What trends have there been over time
Comparing the data in the two pictures, one is China’s GDP growth rate and population growth rate. We can see from the upper and lower comparison that, in fact, China’s population growth rate and China’s GDP have a positive (+) link.
The decline in China’s population growth rate has also caused our GDP growth to start to slow down. It was an accident in 2008. At that time, the United States happened to have an economic and financial crisis. Therefore, China ’s economy (GDP) will have this rapid growth at that time. Promotion.
And just two years ago, China ’s population growth experienced a cliff-like decline, a direct drop of one percentage point. According to this population growth trend, China will gradually become a state of negative population growth.
What has influenced the patterns?
This is a Causal Loop Diagram. You can understand the reasons for the decline in China’s population through this diagram.
Because this CLD belongs to an enhanced feedback loop, if any element in it increases, the entire cycle will turn into a non-positive growth. And such growth will continue to grow before any element is changed, and if we do not change it, the downward trend in the current Chinese society and later Chinese society will continue.
What keeps the system in place？
I think the main reason for the decline in population is the rapid economic growth now. Such rapid growth makes many people uncomfortable. In other words, prices have also increased rapidly, and such rapid growth will easily lead to inflation. This kind of inflation leads people to have no extra money to have children and raise children but to work harder. The consequence of such an approach is the result of late birth and late childbirth. Under such circumstances and results, the population growth rate in Chinese society will naturally decline rapidly.
So in the final analysis, the main reason for such a problem is the excessive growth of the economy, but we have not been able to adapt to such an economy and society, so it will have negative growth.
