{"id":37,"date":"2020-03-20T09:00:50","date_gmt":"2020-03-20T01:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/my.moonshotacademy.cn\/sdg-forum\/?p=37"},"modified":"2020-03-30T14:57:02","modified_gmt":"2020-03-30T06:57:02","slug":"3-25-checkpoint-elevator-pitch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/my.moonshotacademy.cn\/sdg-forum\/2020\/03\/20\/3-25-checkpoint-elevator-pitch\/","title":{"rendered":"Checkpoint 1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Time: <\/strong>March 25th, 5:00-7:00pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activity:<\/strong> 3 min Elevator Pitch + Project Progress Report<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Judges:<\/strong> Jerry Lu, Ryan Yang, Will Yi, Lu Cui, Tony Guo, Mr.Du (parents representative )<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.moonshotacademy.cn\/sdg-forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/96\/2020\/03\/Checkpoint-1-\u4ecb\u7ecd-3.pptx\">Rules<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/shimo.im\/sheets\/DR3OV8zNYyUxFnAB\/MODOC\">Rubrics<\/a>: <\/strong> The ranking of each project team will be based on the evaluation of the project progress report and the pitch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting from checkpoint 1, each project group will receive the points according to their performance. Since all the points are cumulative, the project group that receives the highest points after the last checkpoint will receive a bonus from the SDG forum. As for the checkpoint 1, the group that gets the highest score from the judges will receive 6 points; the group that gets the second-highest score will receive 4 points; the group that gets the third-highest score will receive 3 points.  The groups who participate and get 60 or above from the judges will receive 2 points. The groups that do not participate at all will receive 0. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/my.moonshotacademy.cn\/sdg-forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/96\/2020\/03\/Checkpoint-1-\u4ecb\u7ecd-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-103\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Results:<\/strong> After the careful examinations of judges, three groups stand out from others. They are: Why Youth-Double H, Moonlit Garden-Education Innovation, and MoonTech-Education Innovation. Their inspirational elevator pitches and thoughtful project plans not only touched the &#8220;investor&#8221; but also made all the judges to believe that their projects were planned carefully and ready to go on to the next stage. For the project groups that did not get the high ranking at checkpoint 1, the SDG forum committee is still expectation their excellent performance in the near future.
