My Action Plan
The journey to reach one’s visions is never an easy one, and mine is no exception. For the sake of my own clarity I’ve classified my plans for now and the future into three types: Self, Ability, and Career.
Self focuses on character, anything related to personal development. I hope to improve areas such my well-being, self-cognition, or thought systems. As of now, I am leaning towards the extensive inducing of philosophy or psychology.
My career is something that has been on my mind for a while, and it’s especially important that I decide on my career path at this time to apply for college. Career is actually along the same lines as Self; I want to decide on what I want to do under certain circumstances in the future. I plan to achieve this by gathering information and doing my own research.
Ability concerns my plans to improve areas where I am incompetent and to go and learn the things I’ve always wanted to learn and do.
Winter Plan
Now that the winter break is coming up, I’ll be left with a lot more time than I usually would. I hope to use my time effectively during this time and make the most of it.
Literature
Reading has always been in the back of my head; it’s something know I need to do more but just can’t bring myself to start. I have decided to pick out books that may help be with my ‘self’ and ‘ability’ goals. I find reading to be one of the best methods to unlock knowledge, and an extremely accessible methods to explore. My goal for this winter break is to pick up reading again by starting to read a book this break; I’m hoping to finish a book by the end of this break.
Interests
One of my goals is to capture the essence of exploration and innovation, so I’ll start by doing exactly that. Finally with a good amount of time I will be venturing and diving into doing all the things I want to do. The very first thing that currently comes to mind is finally securing and settling my relationship with music by rooting down my foundations. I hope to systematically study a bit of music theory during the break as well as learn a bit of audio editing.
Academics
I realize that I do need to pay attention to my career and revise all the things I’ve learnt this semester. I also understand that I have areas in where my ability is lacking. In addition, I also need to prepare for standardized test such as IELTS or AP. So, throughout this break I’ll be using online and offline resources to study and recap the concepts I have learnt so far.
