About Myself

My Progress

The path I have laid for myself unarguably a vague one; thus, as I continue down this road I must continuously define what is important to me. The goals I have in mind won’t be completed after a specific achievement, nor will it be a sudden enlightenment. Reaching my goals will be a gradual process which may require my whole life’s time.

The Strats

1 self-awareness

Self-awareness is the cognition of oneself; the ability to understand your character and the surrounding components. To be self-aware is to be content with yourself, which leads to authenticity. I believe that in order to fufill the expectations I had in mind when setting my goals, I must posses a certian level of self-awarness.

Through the practice of this skill I have gained a lot of knowledge and skills in mutiple areas. I understand how an individual works- the elements that result in a behaviour, and how I process information.

Of all the numerous ways self-awareness has helped me, rational thinking, control over emotions, fulfillment, self-acceptance, and many more, I think the clarity that being aware of myself has given me is the reason I can pursue my goals with such confidence and comfort.

2 desire

Whatever you may think about desire, to me, your desire is the substance which fuels your motivation. Without it, doing anything feel troublesome, exhausting and draining.

Understanding the reason behind your desire will result in the stability of your motivation along with the plausibility of your goals. My approach in maintaining motivation is to set my focus on the short term; each obstacle I face, each project I start is separate in regards of motivation.

I believe desire to be crucial in achieving goals, and that proper analysis and strategies should be applied to maintain motivation.

3 Eligibility

Now that we have a sense of direction, the confidence and motivation to reach it, all we need now is be able to travel. Eligibility regards the set of skills one must possess to reach their goals. (To reach the destination shown on the map you must learn how to drive.)

I’d say the importance of skills is pretty indisputable, and in this case understanding what is required of you to complete your tasks is equally as important as why these are your tasks(1). Only once you determine the skill you must possess, should you start striving towards your goal. Of course, you can always acquire new skills along the way, but you should make sure you are prepared to do so.

In the discussion of my goals, the skills I need can include my ability to: problem solve, observe, take action, and to change my form of expression.
